OUR DESIGN APPROACH
Design by coherence
Three levels of design turn purpose into a coherent journey.
01 · Design the entire journey as one story
Understand the purpose, interests, practical needs and what success means. Shape the main theme, route, pace and sequence so each region strengthens the next.
02 · Reveal each destination from multi-angles
Connect food, craft, landscape and history so a place is read in depth, not surveyed.
03 · Deepen through people
Makers, chefs and local hosts are the point of contact where understanding becomes personal.

THE LOGIC BEHIND
Why this route
Each leg does specific work in the journey's arc. Together, they reveal how Japanese culture turns place, material and inherited knowledge into contemporary value.
START
Tokyo
Reinterpret culture
Route, pace, experience selection and client-specific adaptation.
LEG 02 - 03
Kanazawa + Fukui
Work with material
Lacquer, cuisine, Zen practice and the coast. Kanazawa reveals craft refined for contemporary life. Fukui brings travelers closer to materials, makers and living practice.
LEG 04 - 05
Kyoto + Nara
Connect meaning
Faith, craft continuity and the origins of taste. Kyoto shows cultural forms brought to full expression. Nara returns to belief, continuity and their deeper sources.
RETURN
Tokyo return
Make it personal
Close the loop where the journey began, on new terms. Revisit the present and translate what resonated into a personal point of view.
Route logic is designed, not sequenced. Each leg prepares the next.
THE TAKE FROM THE JOURNEY
How one place opens new perspectives
A workshop encounter followed by dining at CRAFEAT connects maker, material and use—turning craft into a lived experience.
01 · The maker - lead and share

Time with a lacquer artisan in the workshop. Hear how the maker reads the material, makes choices and carries Wajima’s knowledge into the future.
02 · The senses - touch and observe

Layers, tools, and the discipline of drying time. Feel the material, notice its textures and understand the patience and judgement behind the finished object.
03 · The user - experience "crafteat"

Use the lacquerware at table — craft understood through dining, not display. Experience cuisine and hospitality through Wajima lacquerware—and understand how usage gives the craft meaning.
